Job Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Engineer to ensure the continuous, non-stop operation of our fabrication facilities (FABs) through optimized material and spare parts supply. In this role, you will be responsible for leading inventory control, investigating material shortages, and driving cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency.
This Job Is for You If
- You can develop and maintain accurate material requirements plans (MRP) based on production schedules, forecasts and customer orders
- You can ensure sufficient materials/spare parts supply and inventory levels, in order to sustain FABs non-stop operation
- You can lead inventory level control routines, material shortage investigations, other supply chain related cross functional teams
- You can track material usage and adjust planning parameters as needed (e.g. lead time, safety stock)
- You can analyze and demand trends to identify and mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain
- You can control and improve cost of inventory, inventory turns and other supply chain KPIs
- You can collaborate with process engineering, equipment, production and other departments in order to determine and implement optimal materials/spare parts planning strategies
- You can continuously improve the materials planning and control cycle, develop and implement supporting tools, KPIs and IT infrastructure
- You can support supply chain decision making processes, by providing data analytics capabilities
Job Qualifications
- B. Sc in engineering or other relevant education
- 2 years of experience in material planning, production planning, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ERP / MRP systems (SAP preferred)
- High analytical skills and data driven
- Self-manageable and self-initiative capabilities
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to attend to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
