Tower Semiconductor is looking for a Facilities Technician in San Antonio, TX. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all facilities systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and process systems. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor manufacturing environments and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure optimal facility performance.
This Job is for You if you can:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all facilities systems, including HVAC (Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Handlers, Pumps, piping), Ultra-Pure Water, wastewater, electrical, plumbing, and process systems.
- Monitor and control facility systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility systems and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and system performance.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide timely resolutions to minimize impact on production.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Technicians must be able to work in a team environment with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Position is for Shift (Days and/or Nights), overtime may be required at times and emergency call-ins are a possibility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, visual inspection tours, monitor systems, and record data.
- React to error messages on building and site systems and/or equipment, recover from process and tool interruptions.
- Monitor process quality and react to Out of Spec conditions, including defect troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- The ability to operate and provide Reliability Centered Maintenance to a wide variety of mechanical and environmental systems and equipment.
- The ability to recognize and respond to system and equipment malfunctions.
- Utilize computers to document and communicate system status for all site operation systems, including shift logs to collaborate across all shifts.
- Interact with customers such as Engineering, Maintenance, and Manufacturing.
- Able to operate computer and system interface programs to ensure appropriate computing and analysis of statistical data:
- Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures, read facilities building and sub-system prints to complete tasks and required documentation.
- Effectively demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high-level of attention to detail and timeliness.
- Position is for Shift (Days and/or Nights), partial weekends. Overtime may be required at times, and emergency call-ins are a possibility.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner
Job Requirements:
- Technical/Associates Degree / related discipline, and/or Military Equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of relevant Facilities experience required
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and process systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
