Job Description

Employee is required to work from blueprints, electrical schematics, manufacturer’s specifications and other written/oral instructions to perform the duties of maintaining and repairing all types of building equipment, systems and structures.

This Job Is For You If

You can plan sequence of operations and methods to use when making major and minor repairs of building equipment, systems, and structures being guided by good trade practices and manufacturer’s specifications with minimum or no supervision.

You can make routine, periodic or special inspections and do the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns on many types of equipment including but not limited to the following:
•    Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
•    Compressed Gas Equipment
•    Vacuum Systems
•    Waste Handling Systems
•    RO/DI Systems
•    Electrical Systems
•    Monitoring and Control Systems
•    Building Infrastructure
You can analyze inspection logs to identify possible equipment failures and take action to prevent failure.
You can manage small to medium sized maintenance projects as assigned by management. This includes creating parts list, ordering parts, contacting vendors, completing all the required paperwork and working with others to complete projects.
Also, may be required to do general construction work in completion of assigned duties.
You can use a wide variety of hand, power, test and metering equipment and machine tools. Perform miscellaneous related duties as required. Train, assist, guide and/or perform the duties of lesser skilled personnel in the Plant Services operations.
You can perform basic trouble-shooting and repair on systems including but not limited to air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical and control system.
You can train lower grade personnel in safe operation of hand, power, machine tool and welding equipment.
You can maintain personal tools required by the Company to perform the duties of this classification.
You can maintain safety and housekeeping standards.


Job Requirements

Must have completed an A.S. in a job related field or have at least four years minimum experience as described above. Must pass the in-house evaluation process of practical application and oral review.
Must have successfully completed the training program for the licensing of in-plant mobile equipment operators and remain a holder of an active operator’s permit, Form 54-0.
