Job Description

The Environmental Health, and Safety Lead will develop and implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.




This Job Is For You If

  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to EHS&S and handles all contact with appropriate agencies.
  • Communicates the EHS&S management system structure and strategy to all groups within the company. 
  • Serves as point of contact with municipal and state emergency personnel. 
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company and ensures compliance with established procedures.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures and ensure routine inspections.
  • Implements programs to minimize property and business interruption risks and business costs. 
  • Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and life safety. 
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Manage the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics. 
  • Ensure appropriate corrective actions taken to address environmental, health, safety and security hazards and/or risks. 
  • Other responsibilities include regulatory interpretation, planning, auditing and information systems evaluation and implementation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field required
  • Minimum ten years of related experience required, ideally in a semiconductor fab, and strong attention to details
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel) or similar software.
  • Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Just be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
