Job Description

Characterizing, optimizing, and tool-to-tool matching of Diffusion, CMP, Dry-Etch, Wet-Etch, Implant, Metal deposition and Photolithograph processing steps for semiconductor manufacturing technologies in commercially released or development stage.



This Job Is For You If

  • Learn semiconductor processing steps and impact on integrated device formation
  • Learn manufacturing equipment hardware and process control related features
  • Develop data analysis tools using Excel/JMP
  • Run experiments to improve processes in order to better control end-of-line electrical parameters
  • Help to develop and continuously improve statistical process control tools
  • Use statistical process control techniques to improve E-test yields.
  • Utilize analytical tools and techniques to solve wafer fabrication problems.
  • Participate in teams to solve technical manufacturing problems.

Assignment Complexity

Solves moderately complex problems 


Able to work under limited supervision.

Working Relationships 

Continuously works with process and equipment engineers & technicians to improve process control and equipment performance.

Working Conditions

Works in office and clean room fab


Job Requirements

  • Lab or hands-on experience in material science, chemical engineering, or related field
  • Knowledge of college level math, chemistry, and physics
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability of writing Excel Macros is preferred
  • Basic knowledge in statistical analysis
  • Good communication and inter-personal skills


  • College student in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical engineering, Physics or Chemistry Major
