Job Description

 Performs a variety of specialized administrative and analytical support duties necessary to procure the chemicals required to support the manufacturing facility.  This including inventory management, demand planning, purchase order creation, material receiving, quality monitoring, and supplier coordination.  The individual will work closely with the manufacturing facility to align inventories and orders with changing manufacturing needs.  Additional responsibilities will include completing SAP transactions, performing physical inventory counts, creating purchasing requisitions, delivery coordination, monitoring material expiration dates, and assisting with other duties as needed.  The position will also be required to work with the global category team to ensure the global strategies are aligned with local engineering requirements.

  • Can coordinates material flow through various levels of receiving inspection.
  • Can input, update and verify computer-related systems required to maintain an up-to-the-minute status of material received, returned to vendors, maintained in receiving inspection, and dispositioned to requesting organizations.
  • Can handle routine questions and problems and maintains open communication with other departments.
  • Can Confirm the accuracy of invoices, bills and charges.
  • Can Log order information into the computer and files and distributes paperwork as necessary.
  • Can maintain records and generates reports for accounting, customer support, supply chain management and other organizations.
  • Can maintain inventories in SAP
  • Can monitor inventories on the third-party warehouse website
  • Can Perform physical inventories
  • Can create PR’s/PO’s
  • Can place various orders to vendors based on inventory
  • Can coordinate deliveries with vendors based on lead times
  • Can physically receive incoming chemical deliveries
  • Can perform quality checks
  • Can transact chemical movement in SAP
  • Can maintain spread sheets
  • Can provide usage and expiration reports for meetings
  • Can work with and chemical technicians to optimize chemical usage
  • Can coordinate with vendors
  • Can assist with other various duties as needed

Job Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or similar.  Must be able to type 30-35 words per minute and have working knowledge of computer allocation system.  Strong Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.
