Job Description

This position is responsible to close operational gaps between Process, Equipment, and Production. Main focus is to follow-up and close all P1s defined from Morning Operations Teams. This position will identify operation needs from the fab floor and drive in Operational teams to maximize area and fab output.  The Superintendent will report to the Director of Production and accountable for achieving the aforementioned along with meeting metrics (Moves, Turn Rate, Cycle Time, Daily Outs).

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Daily: Follow-up and facilitate all closures of P1-P3 defined from Morning Operations Teams in all areas.
  • Review of TECOs and implemented- Ensure Production Supervisor and operators aware of added changes
  • Develop and implement solutions for emerging manufacturing related issues.
  • Facilitate execution of Fab Improvement Projects driven from Weekly OPS Area Teams.
  • Support and implement Production Programs within Core team: TW and 5S
  • Maintain and train on 5S+ Standards on all Fab Personnel.
  • Maintain and enforce Fab Protocol
  • Interview and train bargaining unit employees, including screening interviews and reviewing resumes.
  • Main shift liaison between Quality, Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Production Control, Purchasing, and other departments.
  • Ensure quality and quantity of line output and compliance with established wafer handling and processing procedures. Identify to Production Manager of Non Compliance.

 

 

 

Working Environment

Assignment Complexity – Work with Process, Equipment, IE, and Production teams to make quality moves and eliminate waste that are critical to achieving the overall business objectives

Accountability/Discretion – Work under the general supervision of the Production Director.

Working Relationships – Continuous interface with Production and Engineering Management, UOs and Fab Operators.

Job Requirements

Experience/Proven Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years management experience in a manufacturing facility.  Must have consistently high, measurable performance, with significant project management experience.  Strong working knowledge of related manufacturing operations and critical equipment used in the manufacturing process.  Strong communications skills, both written and oral. Metrics driven,  must be able to demonstrate proficiency in all functional areas of a large manufacturing facility.

 

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Four year degree in a related field is preferred or equivalent experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing.
  • Industrial Engineering degree and experience preferred.  
  • Project Management & ISO certification(s) very desirable.
