Evaluate and monitor wafer fabrication operations to maintain the process and process equipment. Investigate tool relate process and yield problems. Assist senior engineering in the evaluation and implementation of complex process and equipment changes. Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, where judgement is required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Undertake area projects, becoming an expert in applicable process disciplines.

This position is primarily responsible for executing daily sustaining of CMP and implant areas and following up with procedures and schedules defined by the process engineering department.

  • Can be responsible for daily disposition of product, tool quals, and hold lots
  • Can monitor quality and other issues that affect the flow of WIP
  • Can work collaboratively with process engineering, equipment engineering, and production to sustain the fab
  • Are able to set up, monitor, and adjust process equipment; able to set up and perform diagnostic tests and evaluate results
  • Can perform technical equipment calibration and characterization
  • Are able to process test runs and conduct tests for engineering to identify continuous yield improvement projects (CIPs)
  • Are able to maintain and update area spec/OCAPs and conduct detailed record of procedures and results
  • Are able to conduct processing experiments on devices to prove/improve engineering design
  • Can conduct tests on devices/wafers by applying advanced techniques and criteria to obtain data required for process studies
  • Can execute experiments and non-routine process testing (VSTs) defined by senior engineering
  • Can execute non-routine process experiments (VSTs) by applying advanced techniques to obtain critical data for process/integration improvement studies.
  • Have knowledge of PROMIS system

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Requires an AA/AS degree or equivalent experience
Two or more years of technical experience in the semiconductor industry
Some knowledge of semiconductor wafer processing
Some knowledge of SPC, failure analysis, and various software monitoring tools
Experience with MS tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Day shift (D2) Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday from 5:45 am - 6:00 pm
